"Hello it's Me" (Adele).... (Okay but actually its Ariel)

 I am from New England,

from a small town in Massachusetts,

to adventures all over the East Coast.

From trips to the mountains

to chasing waterfalls,

the love for a good adventure.

To great music,

funny jokes,

and great friends and family.

I am from not caring what others think,

Girls Supporting Girls,

sleeping in and going out,

and making everyday count.

I am from video games,

from Fortnite to Minecraft,

Nintendo Wii to Xbox to Iphone.

I am from Rugrats,

to Hey Arnold,

to Spongebob.

I am from cats,

her name is Apple,

she has a mustache,

and lives her life.

But anyways,

"Hello it's Me" .

  1. The title... so funny!! New England is such a great place to explore. As for the music, when I clicked and TLC started to play I had no choice but to sing along! I love that your cat has a mustache and is named Apple. I have a cat Bristol, she doesn't have a mustache, she leaves that part to me.

    1. Thanks Skye,
I always hate trying to title my work and always find it the most challenging thing to do when writing. The entire trip I was hiking through waterfalls that song just kept playing in my head so I thought it would be worthwhile to include in my post. Aww cats are amazing pets in life to have. I have a love for all animals but there is just truly something special about cats.

  2. Hi Ariel!
My favorite line in your poem is "from trips to the mountains". New Hampshire is my absolute favorite place to be. I would love to move there one day if it is the right timing! Hiking the white mountains is so peaceful and beautiful, especially when I bring my dog along for the adventure :)

    1. I actually love the mountains as well. I found a new love for them over the break. I really took a lot of time to explore and going hiking and I totally don't regret it. Just to unplug and be with nature is truly refreshing and peaceful.I don't know if I would want to live up there but definitely a place I would want to visit more often.

  3. Thanks for the poem and the cat pic! Cute! Ariel I think your love of gaming and pop culture will serve you well as an ELA teacher. There are all kinds of ways you can incorporate these things, or "bridge" to them as we discussed the other day. -Dr Benson

    1. I try to keep up with the times but there are many times I look to my younger siblings with questions that I have about video games. I do give it a good try but still sometimes have to ask questions. I mean I learn something new everyday. I love the idea of using these things as bridges into starting a classroom discussion because I feel as if it can connect a lot of my student and start a really close knit community among the classroom.

  4. Ari,

Apple is so cute and I lover her mustache! The links are great and I loved the girls supporting girl merchandise. The Adele Hello is hilarious, much like you. Thanks for sharing!

  5. The girl who sells the merchandise is actually on YouTube and has a lot of videos on female empowerment and being a strong woman and loving yourself. She teaches and promotes that girls should support other girls and not judge or tear them down. Her name is Adelaine Morin. I totally recommend checking her out.
